Committee of Human Rights reporters -The hearing of the charges of Kouhyar Goodarzi, a human rights
activist, was held this morning in the Revolutionary Court Branch 26,
under supervision of Judge Pir Abassi.
In this session, Kouhyar Goodarzi with charges of “propaganda" and
"assembly and collusion against the system" was put on trial. He was
in court with his lawyer, to defend itself against the charges.
Kouhyar Goudarzi, on July 31th, was arrested in Tehran and was
transferred to Interrogations 209 of Evin prison. Despite the end of
his interrogations, he is still in the same section and was prevented
to move to section 350.
Goodarzi, while planning a trip to attend to the funeral of Ayatollah
Montazeri in Qom, on December of 2009, was arrested and jailed for a
year, and was released from prison after serving his time.
Parvin Mokhtare, his mother, who was arrested a day after he was
arrested in Kerman,was sentenced to 23 months imprisonment by the
court recently, which reconsideration of her appeal has been sent.
Parvin mokhtare is now in the general ward of Kerman’s prison.
