Trick Daddy pulled up to The Baller Alert Show and brought along a special guest—his son and rising rapper PFK Jay—for an unfiltered, hilarious, and heartfelt sit-down covering everything from generational hip-hop to real-life lessons in money, fame, and fatherhood.
The legendary Miami rapper didn’t hold back, giving fans a rare glimpse into his relationship with his son as the two navigate the rap game, reality TV, and life as public figures together. Jay, who’s now a main cast member on Love & Hip Hop Miami, talked about taking music seriously and how he’s ready to make his mark in the industry.
“I feel like if I get my chance, I’m going to make it,” Jay said. “Even if it’s off a YouTube beat, I’m going to take that fan base and build.”
Trick, in classic Trick Daddy fashion, mixed jokes with gems—reminiscing on blowing $25 million in five years and how he’s now investing in his son’s career the right way.
“We didn’t have social media, streaming, or TikTok,” Trick said. “Now I’m trying to show him how to build his fanbase so I don’t have to spend a million dollars breaking him.”
Their chemistry was on full display as they playfully argued over beats, studio habits, and even dating preferences—with Trick hilariously stating he prefers younger women who “listen” and don’t have “baby hair at 50.”
The conversation also took a serious turn as Trick opened up about his battle with lupus, why he refuses certain treatments, and how he’s learned to cut toxic people out of his life:
“I used to be scared of God, police, and my mama… now I’m just scared of God,” Trick said. “If you going to pray about it, don’t worry about it.”
Jay also gave fans a sneak peek into what to expect this season on Love & Hip Hop Miami, from music drops and drama with castmates to navigating fame as a young artist. He shared how reality TV has been a major platform for his music and personal growth.
“It’s good exposure,” Jay said. “But I’m trying to stay focused and take advantage of it.”
From hip-hop history and industry game to family dynamics and on-screen drama, Trick Daddy and PFK Jay kept it all the way real.
