Young Scooter’s son has broken his silence, pouring out his heartbreak after the loss of his father.
On Saturday morning, Kenneth Bailey Jr. took to his Instagram Story, unleashing raw emotions as he grieved the rapper’s sudden death and called out the Atlanta Police Department (APD).
“F**k APD,” he wrote, alleging that officers misled him when he asked about his father’s condition.
The tragedy struck on Scooter’s 39th birthday.
“Damn, my best friend gone,” Bailey wrote. “Happy Birthday too. I know exactly what to do.” Holding on to his father’s legacy, he promised, “Yo son a hustla just like you, watch dis.”
As condolences poured in from fans and fellow artists, Bailey acknowledged the love but admitted he was struggling.
“I promise ima get back to y’all,” he said. “Got lame a** blogs lying and s**t man. Ion even wanna see nunna dis s**t.”
Scooter died after injuring his leg while fleeing police responding to a 911 call. The APD confirmed that a 39-year-old man was transported to Grady Hospital, where he later died—news outlets later identified him as the “Columbia” star.
Tributes flooded in from the rap community. Waka Flocka wrote, “Street, you had me crying before my show … you the backbone.” Quavo added, “Ion understand,” alongside a video of Scooter performing.
